Valley Fertility Baby Book reports some of South Texas’ highest IVF success rates

Around one in four couples will have a baby with in-vitro fertilization (IVF). For infertility treatments, IVF possesses the highest success rates per cycle and our South Texas IVF success rates fall within the range posted by the Center for Disease Control’s Assisted Reproductive Technology Report.

When investigating IVF success rates, it’s important to distinguish between live birth and clinical pregnancies. At Valley Fertility Baby Book, we don’t consider IVF a success unless you bring home a baby.

So what are the factors that contribute to IFV success rates?

Eggs age, but many other factors can help us predict your chances. IVF success rates vary according to the age and unique medical conditions of each individual, but in general depend on three key variables:

  • How well a woman responds to ovary stimulating drugs
  • The number and quality of eggs she produces
  • The quality and characteristics of the embryos transferred back to the uterus

Dr. Esteban Brown is experienced at IVF and well regarded by his patients and peers. We encourage you to ask within the Texas community about his reputation and IVF success rates.
